The movie Shelter is directed by Rick Roman Wah, same director of the movie Greenland 2: Migration. Although I honestly feel like compared to other of his works he could have done a lot better.

Jason Statham features in this movie as the center of attraction, so you know they’ll be a lot of ass kicking in the movie. He always handles his role perfectly and delivers the kind of aura that grabs your attention.

I love the choice of location used for the movie. I really feel like it fitted perfectly with the movie.

I did have a bit of problem with the third act. There's a certain point where the protagonist completes his first half of the mission successfully after all that buildup to it during the third act. And I thought there'd finally be more time now for pure action sequences, but instead we only get like 3 more minutes of run time before the end credits roll. And it truly felt like we zoomed to the end in a negative manner. This felt odd to me and I thought the film could have actually benefited from having a longer run time with more action sequences covered towards the end to make that buildup cohesive.

Another thing I didn’t quite vibe into was how mediocre some of the general action sequences rolled out. It’s common with almost every Jason Statham movies; where he is surrounded with dozens of bad guys only for them to come after him one by one and with a few kicks and blows they are already lying on the ground powerless. But there were quite a good number of scenarios that made up for this area.

I love how the trailer of the movie gave an idea of what to expect, unlike others which leave you almost clueless. It’s a cool movie to check out. I would give it a rating of 8/10.
