One profession I’ve always admired and probably would continue to is that of acting. Acting is something that really fascinates me.
The day I knew I was going to be in the Art class was in my second year in high school. I was in the class and I saw some students who were my seniors dash into their classroom with costumes. They were performing a play. I could hear cheering from their other classmates who served as the audience. I was currently having a class, I was so drawn to the whole thing that I wanted to go and watch. But I couldn’t, I had no choice but to just look through the window beside me.
I’ve always love the idea of acting and movie making in general. The ability to embody a character that has absolutely no similarity with your personality, and play it perfectly well is something that is really amazing. It’s one of the careers that takes a lot more than just studying to be good at. It requires raw talent be outstanding in it. It is more like a gift. And that’s why you see people who started off with their acting career at a very young age and performed amazingly. At that age they had no business with attending acting school.
When is see certain movies where the likes of Denzel Washington and Will Smith feature in them, and how they manage to capture the emotion of the audience I am just completely wowed. There are certain performances from them that are just exceptional and cannot see randomly.
I love how actors capture people’s emotions and communicate a story in such a way that it looks so real. To me it is the best form of art used to pass across a message. One of the things I also find fun with acting is the opportunity you get to go to new places. An acting career can take you to a state you’ve been meaning to go to but held back by one limitation or the other.
It also gives the chance to meet with new people and gain knowledge about certain cultures by the reason of taking certain roles. There are a lot of knowledge many actors gained simply because of their acting career. It doesn’t just put food on your table alone and make you famous, it’s also a platform where you can learn a whole lot of things that would be much useful to you at some points in life.
Being an actor is definitely a profession I would love to pick if I was given the opportunity to. It’s quite fun and captivating.
