No matter how long a particular lie has stayed, a day will come when the truth will surface and will prevail. One very bad thing about lying is that you will need more lies in order to cover the initial one and at the end you will realize that the lie was not worth it at the beginning. There is nothing that will be worth more than truth at the end, so it is good to stick with the truth.

When someone is marked for lies, even when the person says the truth, people may not believe them because they will link their past experiences with the present. The truth is, trust is not enforced, you earn it to have it. One way to earn trust is by being and remaining truthful at all times.
Many things will come up to challenge your truthfulness but do not allowed them to turn you from the path of truth. Your circumstances notwithstanding, you can remain with the truth if you choose to. I normally hear people call lying a "necessary evil". Now I ask; what is necessary about doing what is wrong? You will always have a choice to make in the face of challenges and the choice you make is your absolute prerogative but be ready to welcome the results.
I remember a particular experience that was shared by one of my friends. In his place of work, they were very strict about the time employees come to work. Any employee that signs in after the stipulated time will receive a query and the next time, it will be a suspension. This made people to be falsifying the time they come to work if they come late.
One day came and my friend was late to work because of some situations beyond his direct control. When he went to sign in, the people the came with him were signing an early time just to escape punishment. My friend decided to sign the actual time and was willing to answer the query.
After signing, the supervisor came in an reported that a particular fraud happened in the company earlier that day (before my friend came to work), since there were unable to pinpoint the person that carried it out, they had to isolated the timeframe it was carried out and they went through the signing book and suspended everyone that came within that timeframe. The people that came late but signed earlier time were also victims of the suspension but my friend was exempted because he kept to the truth.

As long as you will not deviate from the truth, it will surely pay one day and the payment is usually loud. So keep up in the paths of truth and do not allow anything turn you from that path.
