Everyone is born with some very unique and incredible potentials. But the truth is that not everyone discover their own, and even a few people will develop their own. One of the things that you need to understand is that, most times, what makes a difference between living an ordinary life and an extraordinary life is not about talent or luck, but about discovering your full potentials and developing them. It is by maximising what is already inside you. You are not born just to come and occupy space or to pass time, there is a special purpose you are supposed to fulfill. But you first need to discover your potentials to be able to determine what your purpose is.

The potential within you is likened to a seed. Just like a seed, it may look small, unimpressive, hidden, and even overlooked, but right inside it is the potential to become a large tree. But you know that the transformation that happens from a seed to a tree will only be possible when the seed is planted, nurtured, watered, tendered, and given some time to grow. In the same way, your potentials and your abilities will remain hidden until you make conscious efforts to develop them.
Some people have not given expression to their hidden potentials, not because they do not possess any, but because of fear, which also leads to self-doubt. Some people may even know what they have on the inside, but because of fear, they will not be able to maximise it. They may think; what if they take a step and they fail, and a lot of other negative thoughts. This will make them not to take any step at all. Fear just has a way of convincing them that they are not good enough for the step, and makes them to miss valuable opportunities. But what you need to understand is that, you do not really need to be fearless for you to take the first step, you only need to act despite the fear. Remember that courage does not mean that fear is nonexistent, rather it means taking step even when there is fear.
In order to master the art of unlocking your full potentials, you have to first believe that you were created for a purpose. This mindset is what will fuel you to unleash what is lying dormant inside you. Just to tell you; your talents, your experiences, your passions, your gifts are not by accident. They are to serve a greater good. But beyond that, they also point you to wards your purpose. When you discover your potentials and develop them, you are not just making your life better, but you are also making the lives of others better.
In addition to this, you do not have to wait for a perfect day to start working towards realising what is hidden inside you. After all, what other day could be more perfect than the present moment? This is why you need to learn to take prompt and quick actions. The more you delay to take actions towards your purpose, the more you are drawing away from it, and you might even stand the risk of losing it. Imagine someone who was supposed to be a professional footballer but did not make attempt until they are 45 years, how will he become a footballer? I mean, no serious team will want to sign a 45 year old that should have already retired from active playing. So you see, the time to start to act on your dream and on your purpose is now.

You also need to surround yourself with good and supportive people. That is, the people who will help you to understand that you are created for a purpose, and will also work to maximise it. If the people you stay with do not move you closer to the fulfillment of your dream, then you need to stay clear from them. You have to understand that your immediate environment will influence the way you think, your decisions, and ultimately your destiny. Spend more time with the people who will inspire you, motivate you, and challenge you to improve on yourself. This will help you to believe more in your dreams, and you will become a better version of yourself, thereby maximising your potentials.
