To get a car to move, you will need a bigger force than the one you will need to keep it in motion. In the same way, the biggest and most difficult step to take is the first step because that is the most important force to overcome. Without taking the first step, the other potential steps will be futile. As a matter of fact, the journey of many kilometres will start with you taking the first step.

One of the major things that hinder people from taking the first step is the fear of uncertainty - which includes fear of failure. They may have the thoughts of "what if they take the step and fail?". Well, what if they take it and succeed? You should always try to see life from the bright side, not from the side of negativity. Remember, how you see life is how you approach life. When you approach life with positivity, you will have enough strength to make the required moves.
Life is full of risks that you have to take and you must take them. Refusing to take the required risks will open you up to bigger risks. Great achievements only begin with taking the first step, and just like the first baby steps, it may be with minimal pace but it will open the door to bigger steps. If you have ever seen babies learn how to walk, you'll understand this well. Cos they will walk small, fall or stumble, rise again and try again. Without passing through this stage, they will not be strong on their feet.
To delay taking steps is to prolong achieving your success. There are things that people cannot help you with no matter how they love you - this includes taking responsibilities for you. The sign of maturity comes with you are brave enough to act and take responsibility for your actions.
Success is simply enhancing and building on your first step. Which means, without taking the first step, there will not be anything to enhance and success may not be in view. So, go out and take that step you have long wished for. Remember, success does not answer to wishes but it is a result of right actions taken at the right time.
