What dignity is there to always have to beg for money or bread? Why do those who have money feel pleasure to see the misery of those who have less? My friend, in reality you don't need to be rich to be happy, you need to be prosperous. You need to be prosperous materially and spiritually.
material prosperity: you can be a millionaire and always feel miserable in your life because you will always want more, just as you can have a low salary and yet be rich in your heart and feel yourself above people poorer than you. But when you know how to handle your needs and you are wise enough to put aside at least 10 % of your income every month then after a while, the feeling of having some physical security, knowing that you can live from your own financial reserves for some time without having to know the humiliation of borrowing, will give you some inner peace that you don't have when you spend all your salary at the end of each month. The most important is not to earn a lot of money but to save enough to maintain its lifestyle as long as possible without relying on anyone;
spiritual prosperity: when you know you brought to this world more than you have received, that you help people around you (if possible not with your hard earned money but rather with your time, your listening and your intelligence) without nothing in return. When your heart is in peace, and your actions are aligned with the will of the Lord, then you will no longer fear death but will live in the hope of a better life. So every day on earth will be for you as a blessing because it will be an opportunity to do even more good and save for the kingdom of heaven.
My friend, when faced with misery, people in their ignorance often seek easy money. They think money is the key to happiness and they're willing to do anything to get rich. Some people will prostitue themselves for money, men like women they will sell their bodies. Others will steal or scam the most gullible. Some will get initiated to strange sects or dark organizations, go to witches or even kill for money. Others will be convinced that they can't be happy where they are and they will be willing to sacrifice their lives to go to distant lands or enter illegally in some countries putting their lives and those who accompany them in danger. Eventually others will play games of chance, betting all their savings on race horses instead of thinking about the safety and financial security of their families. My friend, the temptation of evil is everywhere in our lives but you don't need to do strange things to be happy.
In Romans 6-23, it is written that "the wage of sin is death but the free gift of God is eternal life". Jesus warned his people against the temptation of the facility but also taught us on the fact that paradoxically, it requires some effort to do evil while God offers free solution to his children through the prayer. Why don't our prayers work very often? In James 4-3, it is said: " When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures."
My friend do this personal experience: pray not to be rich, to seduce women or to dominate the people around you but rather pray to have the means to help the people you love and those who depend on you. Think every day on how you will help them, what you will do to improve their lives with the means the Lord will provide to you. Pray to bring satisfaction to the people you love and to have the means to solve their problems. Then you will see that the Lord will agree to your requests. Pray to get the strength not to spend systematically everything you earn every month because of your greed but rather to have the will to save at least 10 % of your salary month after month. Then you'll see that after a while, even if you don't earn more money you'll find inner peace because you won't depend on anyone. That said please be careful not to become rich in spirit because it is easier for a camel to pass through the hole of a needle than for a rich man to get into the kingdom of heaven. My friend, I pray that you are prosperous, materially and spiritually so that you will never be a slave of money again, but that you become a force of the good in the world.
