The first season of the Modern League with the new bracket system has come to an end. How were your rewards? Mine dropped quite a bit. I had a feeling they would, so in a way, things went pretty much as expected.
I received 249.238 SPS in Season Rewards, which is only about 35% of what I got last season. So, roughly one-third?
By the way, the SPS rewards at EOF (End Of Season) are calculated using a rather complicated formula.
Half of the total reward pool for each season is allocated to Modern League Reward Points. (It seems the pool is split equally between Wild League and Modern League.)
The SPS allocated to Modern League is then divided among the brackets according to their respective percentages, determining the SPS allocated to each bracket. (At this stage, if the number of "Players:" participating in a bracket is lower than the number of "Full Reward Players:", the allocation is reduced accordingly.)
At EOF, you receive a share of the SPS allocated to your bracket based on the ratio of your own Reward Points ("Reward Points:") to the total Reward Points for all players in that bracket ("Total Bracket Reward Points:").
Hmm, what a hassle. 😵💫
Now, the second season under the bracket system has begun, and I've been thinking about how to maximize my rewards this time around.
Most of my cards are at the Intermediate level (Silver League), but at the end of the season before the bracket system was introduced, I had climbed all the way to Gold I.
Last season, I chose Silver League to match the levels of the cards I own, but the results were unexpected.
I thought that, with the new bracket system, I would no longer have to face Gold League players, so my ranking would improve. However, that didn't happen, and I ended up in 140th place. Unfortunately, only the top 100 players receive Glint.
A lower ranking is definitely not good. The level caps have eliminated battles where I get completely crushed by opponents simply because their cards are higher level than mine. However, my card levels are still not high enough to improve my win rate.
I haven't bought many cards since Chaos Legion rotated out of Modern League. With Conclave Arcana, I've only bought a few cards that looked particularly strong, and I've barely bought any Escalation cards at all!
My SPS Season Rewards have dropped to about one-third of what they were, and my ranking isn't great either. So, I wondered what I should do and decided to move up from Silver League to Gold League this season.
The level caps will be higher, which means fewer cards I can use. However, the SPS allocated to the bracket is twice as large, so I thought my final rewards might increase.
Here's how things looked after two days.
I haven't fought 100 battles yet, so I don't have a ranking, but my win rate is over 78%. I've also managed an incredible 33-win streak!
There are a few reasons for this. Since there aren't many players, I'm more likely to encounter bots. And in Division 7 and below, almost all the battles have Standard rulesets and no elemental restrictions.
It seems my combo using CALAMITY has been extremely effective. 🤣
My win rate started to drop once I reached Division 6, but I think I'm still winning more than half my battles.
I'm not sure how many wins I'll manage by the end of the season, but I'm planning to keep earning Reward Points at this pace and look forward to seeing how much SPS I get at EOF.
At least, if I can maintain my current pace, I should earn more than I would in Silver League. The problem is that the card restrictions are strict, so I expect my win rate to drop as more ruleset and elemental restrictions come into play.
I'm both excited and a little nervous to see how things turn out after playing for a full season!

モダンリーグがブラケット制になって1シーズン終了しましたが報酬はどうでしたか？私はかなり下がりましたね。下がるだろうという予感はありましたので、ある意味予定通りですね。
私が受け取れたシーズン報酬は 249.238 SPS だったので 前シーズン比で約35%です。 三分の一くらいってことかな？
ところで、このEOF（End Of Season）の報酬SPSをめんどくさい計算式で出すわけです。
１．毎シーズンのリワード報酬総量の半分をモダンリーグのリワードポイントとする。（ワイルドリーグとモダンリーグで半々のようです。）
２．さらに、モダンリーグに割り当てられたSPSをブラケット毎の比率で分割して、ブラケット割り当て SPS を割り出す。（この時、ブラケットに参加する "Players:" の人数が "Full Reward Players:" の人数に足りていなければその分減少する。）
３．ブラケット割り当て SPS を 全てのリワードポイント（"Total Bracket Reward Points:"）に対する自分のリワードポイント（"Reward Points:"）の割合だけ EOFに受け取る。
うーん、めんどくさいね。😵💫
さて、ブラケット制になって2回目のシーズンが開始したわけですが、ここで報酬を最大化するにはどうすればいいかと検討してみました。
私の手持ちのカードはほどんどが Intermediate（シルバーリーグ） レベルですが、ブラケット制になる前のシーズンの終了時はゴールドⅠまで上がっていました。
前のシーズン、私は手持ちのカードレベルに合わせてシルバーリーグを選択したのですがこれが予想外の結果になりました。
予想ではブラケット制になったのでゴールドーリーグのプレイヤーと当たらなくなり、順位は上がると思っていたのです。しかし、実際はそのようなことは無く順位は140位にとどまりました。Glint が貰える順位は100位までなのでこれは残念。
順位が下がるというのはダメですね。レベルキャップが付いたためカードレベルの暴力で叩き潰されるというバトルは無くなりましたが、カードレベルが足りなくて勝率が上がりません。
カオスレギオン がモダンリーグから外れたときにあまりカードを買っていないんですよね。Conclave Arcana は一部の強そうなカードを買うだけで済ませてしまっていますし、Escalation なんてほどんどカード買っていないし！
リワード報酬のSPSも三分の一になったし、順位も良くない。これはどうしたものかと考えて今シーズンはシルバーリーグがらゴールドリーグに上げてみました。
レベルキャップが上がるので使えるカードは減りますが、ブラケットに割り当てられる SPS は2倍になりますし最終的な報酬は増えるんじゃないかと思ってね。
結果、二日過ぎた状態でこんな感じ。
まだ100戦していないので順位はついていませんが、勝率は78%を超えています。連勝数も33と凄い！
これには理由があって、人数が少ないのでBOTに当たる確率が高く、DEVISION 7以下の場合ルールもスタンダード、エレメントも制限なしのバトルばっかりですから。
CALAMITY を使ったコンボがとても有効だったせいですね。🤣
DEVISION 6 からは勝率も下がってしまいましたが、それでも5割以上は勝てていると思います。シーズン終了時点までどれだけ勝てるかはちょっと謎ですが、EOFの報酬SPSを楽しみにこのまま Reward Points を稼いでいこうと思っています。
一応、今のペースで稼げばシルバーリーグよりは稼げるはずです。問題はカード制限が厳しいため、ルールやエレメントの制限が増えれば増えるほど勝てなくなることが想定されることですね。
1シーズンプレイしたとの結果がどうなるか怖いような楽しみなような？
