In this article, I would like to summarize my last season.
My basic strategy:
- Playing in both the Modern and Wild League
- Letting XBOT play in the Wild League with a minimum energy cap of 30
- Renting cards primarily for the Wild League
- Constantly buying new cards for the Modern League
Let's see the results!
Modern League
I played 146 battles and succeeded in climbing up to Diamond III for the first time.
Wild League
My costs had three parts:
- Wild League Pass (always 2,000 DEC)
- Card rental fees (175 DEC this season)
- XBOT service fee (1,323 DEC this season)
Total DEC spent: 3,498 (~$1.76 while writing this article)
This month, I was a little bit lazy about doing the rentals. When I wanted to do the task, the rental prices were too expensive. I decided to skip the whole process and rent only two cards.
I rented the following cards for the whole season:
- Max-level Lux Vega
- Max-level Arkemis the Bear
With this setup, my account played 212 battles and finished in Diamond II:
New cards
I also obtained some new cards during the season. I have several watchlist items at SplinterTrends (https://splintertrends.com). With their help, I shot these cards:
3x Gold Barthalamas ($0.597)
Gold Thalgrimore ($0.388)
Azhar Ibn Sulaim ($2.000)
My current progress in building max-level Foundation Archon cards:
- Gold Barthalamas (max level)

- Incessant Sage (max level)
- Gold Thalgrimore (max level)
The remaining piece is a max-level Gold Incessant Sage.

Next Modern Season
I was really excited about the changes, and I think that the direction is good. At the time of writing this article, the season is almost over, and I have already played 205 battles in the Silver Bracket. I LOVE IT!!!
