Dear Splinterlands Community!
In this article, I would like to summarize my last season.
My basic strategy:
- Playing in both the Modern and Wild League
- Letting XBOT play in the Wild League with a minimum energy cap of 25
- Renting cards primarily for the Wild League (mainly Chaos Legion max-level cards)
- Constantly buying new cards for the Modern League
Let's see the results!
Modern League
I played approximately the same amount as in the previous season. The 154 battles helped me climb up to the Gold I League.
Wild League
My costs had three parts:
- Wild League Pass (always 2,000 DEC)
- Card rental fees (5,054 DEC this season)
- XBOT service fee (2,012 DEC this season)
Total DEC spent: 9,066 (~$4.15 while writing this article)
I rented the following cards for the whole season:
- Nearly all Chaos Legion Core max-level cards
- All Chaos Legion Reward 1 max-level cards
- Max-level Lux Vega
- Max-level Helios Matriarch
- Max-level Arkemis the Bear, Vruz
With this setup, my account played 199 battles and finished in Champion III:
New cards
I also obtained some new cards during the season. I have several watchlist items at SplinterTrends (https://splintertrends.com). With their help, I shot these cards:
Gold Forlorn Geomant ($0.355)
Level 2 Torch Vizier ($0.350)
Gold Barthalamas ($0.220)
3x Gold Aurelia ($1.550)
And a few minor ones (Water Diviner, Archer Koi, Gold Dire Bear)
My primary focus now is to build max-level Foundation Archon cards.

I also bought a few from the two Promo cards (3x Suiko and 20x Tenrai) to show my gratitude for the great service.
