Project Distriator
- In yesterday's post, we talked about setting limit per user for daily & biweekly claim.
- After looking at my updates,
@starkerz suggested that, it is too much power in the hands of admin.
- These are his words "I don’t want the admins to be able to decide how much a user can get. It’s totalitarianism"
- While implementing the API for setting up the limit per user, I also sensed it.
- I am glad that, we discussed about it & found out an alternate solution
Discarded User Limit APIs
- As you can see in the screenshot above, we have removed all the code for limits
- Admins were able to set limits per guide, per business, per user which is now removed.
- All the limits related API changes were removed
- After this change, we have re-deployed the backend
Claim reward limit By Country
- A coffee can cost differently country by country
- Coffee is just an example.
- With that, we would like to point out that, cost-of-living can be different
- And with that logic, max-claim-reward per transaction can be different country
- We developed these APIs & it is shipped (deployed on production)
- If a transaction amount is exceeding a specific limit by country, distriator will consider max limit instead of transaction amount.
- E.g. if a user spends 1500 HBD, he shouldn't be able to claim 150 HBD 😵
- Instead, transaction amount will be considered to limit e.g. 15 HBD & based on that rewards will be calculated.
- We have added a new API route
/countries - With this new API route, admin can set max-claim-reward-limit by country
- We'll work on UX for it, tomorrow.
KCS Bug again?
- Yesterday, we encountered a bug again which is related to custom-invoice-identifier of Keychain Store
- After looking into it, we updated regex & re-tested it & it worked.
- As you can see in the screenshot above that claim was successful.
- This claim was done on the keychain-store-invoice-payment.
- It all worked & I hope that it will work for all keychain-store-invoices.

- I'm running 12 powerful video encoder nodes for 3Speak Community Members.
- Monthly internet bandwidth usage which exceeds 15 TB, Maintenance cost, Electricity backup, Internet backup, Depreciation cost - it's all on me.
- On 2024-07-07, 3Speak published total 104 videos.
- My video encoder nodes encoded 67 videos from 104 videos published.
- It means, my encoder nodes encoded 64.42 % of total videos published on 2024-07-07
