Wilderness Forest - Nice Walk.
In yesterday's post, I wrote about the big tree in the Wilderness Forest, that we went to visit, but besides the big tree, there is also a very nice path one can walk to admire, the lush green indigenous forest, that this part of South Africa is know for.
When one walk in the forest, there are a lot of things to see, if one just looks.
There are a lot of broken, rotting, branches on the ground, which forms the perfect environment for various fungi to grow. These beautiful two mushrooms were growing on just such a broken branch.
Just look at how beautiful it looks with the little light shining through it from the top.
A bit further on, we stumbled upon this fungus on another piece of rotting wood.
Below is another interesting fungus, looking quite different from the previous one.
The fungus, below is a different one than the one above, but of the same type.
Below is a small stream flowing in the undergrowth.
Here is another selfie, of my wife and I enjoying ourselves in the forest.
The walk in the forest was really enjoyable, but this is still not the end of the forest, I will continue with the forest walk in a future post.
