Viggo The Viking, by Optimum Craft.
Last weekend, I was having a braai at my home, which gave me the opportunity to test a Viggo The Viking lager, brewed by the Optimum Craft Brewery!!
I loved the label of this BEER. The label states that this Lager, has a slight citrus / fruit flavour and was brewed to bring out the inner Viking, from the drinker - this sounded good to me!!
This BEER comes in a 340 ml bottle and has 4.5% alcohol.
As you can see below, I poured this BEER very gently, but still it exploded into a lot of foam, creating a huge head!!
Just look at that mountainous head!!
The Viking indeed had a citrus taste and smell, and was quite hoppy for a lager.
When drinking a great BEER like this, one must pair it with some nice meat on the braai!! This time we did some chicken quarters and pork rashers!!
The BEER and meat tasted great and my wife and I had a great time around the braai, relaxing and socializing!!
