Beers at the Cow House

The past weekend we went to visit the Cow House Market , which is a market, that is held over the weekend in some old Cow Stables!! You can see the entrance does not look like much, but inside it is quite nice and above all, it has a craft brewery stall inside!! Nice!! (I plan to write on the market in #MarketFriday by @dswigle if you would like to read more about the market). Below you can see the line waiting for the BEERS. This line just stayed the same for the entire day just showing how popular the BEER stall was!!

They had two rows of taps, one on both sides of the stall!!

The price of one 500ml BEER was R40.00 ($1.00 = R14.00)

For my first BEER I decided on the Pale Ale

The BEER had a nice hazy orange color, with a medium white head. It had a nice hops taste with a faint citrus aroma, it tasted great, as a decent craft beer should!!

Below you can see the setup, there were a number of tables where people could sit and relax, eat some food and drink some drinks, while there were some live music being made, by a solo artist!!

Next up was a Milk Stout, which had a small tan color head. This BEER had a burnt type of taste, which I could not really place, but it also tasted great!!

The last but not least was the Amber Weiss Beer. This was another great tasting beer, with a good hops taste coming through!!

It had a brilliant white head, also of a medium size!!

We also had some food, and my choice was a real traditional South African Bunny Chow, basically a half loaf white bread hollowed out and filled with a curry dish!! Nice, spicy and tasty!! I will write more about the food and the market at a later stage!! (Most probably on Friday as #MarketFriday comes after #BeerSaturday, if this makes any sense at all??)
