Beer and Music at the Jarr Bar!!
I wrote a post on Live Music @ the Jarr Barr, but I did not only listen to the live music!! As the venue had the word BAR in the name, I took it for granted, that I also should have some BEER. As we all know a BEER always makes the music sound sweeter, and the atmosphere also gets influenced positively by an ice cold BEER. One could say the atmosphere becomes warmer, in direct relation ship to the amount of BEER consumed, even in the middle of winter as it is now in South Africa!!
Like usual, I decided to try out a CRAFT BEER and this time I settled for a BACON BEER by Frair's Habit Craft Brewery!! It sounds as if this BEER could go down well with breakfast, being a BACON BEER. Well in my humble opinion one can have breakfast at any time of the day or night and this being evening, I still considered it to be the perfect time for trying out a BACON BEER.
The venue had a strange whitish, with a blueish hue lighting, thus all the photos, has a strange color. Nevertheless the BEER poured beautifully with a nice white head!!
This BEER is actually a Rauchbier, which is a smoked BEER, and when savoring this BEER the smokiness, actually gives you that BACON taste - nice. This BEER really was a nice drinking BEER for any time day or night!!
As you can see this BEER at R36.00 (about $2.00) is one of the most expensive BEERS on the menu, but I think it was worth every cent!! This BEER came in a 340ml bottle and has 5.3% alcohol.
Like I said in my previous post on the Jarr Bar, we went to support some students who were doing their music exams, which we enjoyed such a lot, that I forgot to photograph the pizzas we had for dinner.
