BeachWednesday: Feeding but not catching any fish
If you read my post named Sweating to take a photo of a small pink flower you will know that I walked down 300 steps to collect some bait to go fishing later that same day during high-tide!! If you do the maths, you will realize that I climbed 1200 steps to go and catch that fish. (300 down 300 up during low-tide and 300 down and 300 up during high-tide) The morning I was in luck and I got some red bait to use as my bait, I love red bait, but it is quite scarce these days and you can only get it when the water is quite low during low-tide. Later when I returned at high-tide, I could not get to the spot, which I planned to fish from when I was there in the morning as the water was to high and rough. I wanted to fish from the rock at the back of the photo above.
Well I cast my line in and I was quite happy with the distance I got, then the waiting started. It was quiet, not a bite. At a stage I got a bite, but did not catch a fish. After trying for some time and not landing anything, I decided to try to the left hand side of the rocks I was on, but then did not get a single bite.
The great thing about fishing is that it is just you and the sea, you can look at the sea for hours and think about anything you want to with no interruptions. (Accept of-course if a fish bite, which did not happen.)
