Happy #aliveandthriving Tuesday afternoon to you and thank you for your visit!
Today I decided to go someplace I had not been before the "Packery Channel Nature Park". It is on "Padre Island", and I happened to be over there. I was going to go someplace else, but the sand was too deep for me to chance it. On the way back I had noticed all the signs for this place so I thought it might be worth a visit!
Well it was and it wasn't, it appears "like everywhere else" in Corpus Christi - it's a Park under construction so many areas were boarded off.
So when you first get there you see these signs. The first is a form of a laugh as you cannot get to the water to fish or kayak and the bird boardwalk is mostly blocked off,
This is the next sign,
This sign is in a little shade structure. I liked it as someone did put sometime into it and it was artistic! The survey forms box was empty!
From that entrance you come up to a "Y", I went left,
A little ways down the path you can see one of the new areas - boarded off,
Also very interesting was these cement things that were all over, in bushes and thickets,
I wonder how and why they are there?!
This is another view of one of the new boardwalks that is closed off over to the side of the one I was on,
Quite a ways out there I found this area. I believe it is for birdwatching and taking photos,
What I saw from there was this flower box in the middle of nowhere,
And I also saw that when they open it up (?) this part of the boardwalk will go all the way down to the beach,
So basically this is laid out in circles that at various points interconnect. Due to the boardwalk layout you don't get close to much. The only flowers I could get was this "Turk's Cap",
And some Sunflowers still blooming on Padre Island. This is a bush,
And a little closer photo of a branch,
Afrer that I left and headed home. I feel this place will be a little better - in a little while!
I want to thank you again for your visit and I am Wishing you a Very Blessed, Happy, and Safe Mid-Week!
