Choice
Everyone in the world has their very own unique life. But what exactly made your life so unique? Is it the god’s will? Or your own destiny? Different people has different interpretation of life, but for me, life means choice.
A person’s life is full of multiple choice questions, and it is your very own choice that made up of your unique life, whether you are youth, a young man, or an old man that already retired. But the difference is, everyone makes different choices based on their own personalities. And that, is your unique life.
Everyone’s personality is different, so the choices made are relatively different too. For example, the same multiple choice question, according to peoples’ unique personalities, the choices would be very different from the others, where the unique answer to the question will lead to different kind of future. Just like the same fruit, juicy and sweet, but not everyone likes it, some people likes it less juicy, while the others like sour sweet, therefore the taste would be different, so are the comments towards the choices.
In my own experience, after I graduated from form 5 (equivalent to year 11), I am somewhat confused about the future. I believe that most of the students who have just graduated are almost the same. I once considered applying for foundations of accountancy and apply for a bachelor’s degree in accounting later, but I was hesitant at that time, and I am still don’t know what am I interested in (maybe it is because I am Libra, hard to make a choice). But after I considered it for a long time, I felt that my future cannot be decided in such a random way. Finally I made the most important decision my life. I had decided to continue to form 6 study (equivalent to year 12), and I discovered that I am not suitable to go for accounting. I am glad that I made the right choice. What if, I chose to enrol in bachelor’s degree of accountancy, my future will be very different, I probably will take accountancy as my lifelong career, or maybe I will change my career pathway (I don’t like accountancy after all). And probably I would not met my beloved girlfriend.
Everything, every choices, will cause a very different future, once you made a choice, you have to bear the consequences of every choice you had made, no matter the choice is right or wrong, good or bad, merely because it is your own decision. When you made a choice and set a goal, please do your best to achieve your target and don’t let yourself down. In Chinese, there is a saying, nothing is like a pie falling from the sky, means that nothing is free, you will get nothing if you don’t put effort on it, so does the success. Even if you failed, don’t be discouraged, cheer up, make another choice and move one step forward, fight for it, again and again.
Lastly, what I wanted to express here is that when we faced some situations that we need to make a choice to move forward, please make sure you think wisely before you make the choice, not for me, not for your parents or others, but for your own future, your own life, please do not make a choice recklessly, as that will always make you regret it.
