While out and about in my city, my child suddenly wanted to have the Roti'O ice cream variant—a treat that both of us love. So, we headed straight to the shop, which is located in the city's largest shopping mall.
When we arrived, there was quite a long line of people waiting. My husband immediately ordered two Roti'O buns with vanilla ice cream, and the server told us we would have to wait about 45 minutes—oh my, that’s such a long time! But because we really wanted to enjoy them, we decided to wait anyway.
Tables and chairs are provided here for customers, whether they are dining in or getting their food to go. I chose to sit in the area in front of the cashier while we waited; we spent the 40 minutes chatting and occasionally sharing a laugh with my husband and child—hehe.
After nearly 40 minutes, our bread was ready; the server called my child's name to pick it up, and I immediately went to get it. Topped with ice cream, it looked incredibly tempting—I couldn't wait another moment and wanted to taste it right then and there.
Even while still wrapped in its Roti'O packaging, the signature aroma of Roti'O coffee wafts through the air—it smells absolutely wonderful. The warm, savory bun pairs perfectly with the incredibly creamy, smooth vanilla ice cream. While vanilla is a great choice, there are plenty of other flavors available, such as Chocolate Boba Sundae, Rainbow, and many more; however, I opted for the Roti'O with smooth vanilla ice cream.
The taste of the bread is very savory and fresh, the aroma of the coffee really whets my appetite, while the ice cream is really very soft and creamy, so the combination of soft savory bread with ice cream like this is really a very delicious combination of flavors.
As for the bread, I ordered the original version; it has a sweet and savory flavor with a distinctive coffee aroma, and the coffee topping on the outside is incredibly crispy—brown in color with a rich, sweet coffee taste—while the inside is very soft and features a super delicious buttery filling.
I enjoyed the ice cream first, spoonful by spoonful, since it was served on top of the bread. I took my time finishing it; the texture was smooth and creamy—much like the Mixue ice cream I’ve shared about in previous posts—and the vanilla flavor was incredibly smooth. All in all, it’s a treat I really love at this place.
After finishing the ice cream, it was time for me to enjoy the bread. Although the bread was soaked in ice cream, the crispy outside with its distinctive coffee flavor was still not at all soft. It was still crispy and it seemed like this was a very fragrant coffee bread, and I really liked it.
I finished it bite by bite, and it turned out there was butter inside. Look at that butter—it was incredibly rich, sweet, and delicious, and I devoured the whole thing.
