The moment I’d been waiting for finally arrived—quitting time. My friend and I had arranged to grab a bite—something substantial, really—at the seblak stall right next to my office. The seblak there is famous for being delicious, and you can customize the spiciness level to your liking.
Actually, this was my friend's idea; she had been really craving the seblak from a place near my office. It’s famous for being delicious—her child had once brought some home, and she said it was truly tasty, so I got curious too. Is the seblak here really that good? Let's give it a try.
When I arrived, my seblak was already served on the table, as my friend had ordered it for us—including the spice level and the toppings.I just ordered Indomie in seblak broth with seblak crackers, enoki mushrooms, meatballs, and also a sausage.
My friend did the same thing I did—ordering the same dish—while for drinks, we just ordered orange juice. We intentionally placed our orders in advance so we wouldn't have to wait in a long line when we arrived.
First of all, I want to try the seblak crackers. These colorful crackers look incredibly appetizing; usually, crackers are fried, but here they are cooked in a broth, so I’m really curious to see what they taste like.
After tasting the crackers—which were slightly chewy, salty, and savory—I found them absolutely delicious; they were truly amazing, especially when eaten with the seblak broth. I really loved it.
Next, I tried Indomie noodles and super-large frozen meatballs. They're usually a bit tough, but these meatballs were soft and cooked perfectly, perhaps perfectly. The combination of noodles and meatballs really hits the spot for me.
and coincidentally, when I got home from work like this, I hadn't eaten yet. With one bowl of Seblak meatball soup, it really made me full, but not to mention full, I was also very satisfied with the food here. Eating here was really delicious.
Besides meatballs and seblak crackers, there are also sausages that I haven't tried yet, and now I will try to enjoy sausages in this sausage sauce seasoning with a very chewy taste and also delicious, savory and just the right amount of spiciness. Basically, this sausage is really soft when cooked with seblak sauce.
Besides sausages, there are also enoki mushrooms—which are a perfect addition—and, of course, Indomie noodles in the mix. Enoki mushrooms really pair beautifully with seblak and its accompanying ingredients.
Thank you 🙂🤗
