2021 theme for me is HARMONY / BALANCE

My theme for next year will be harmony.

I am not against resolutions, but the trouble with them is they often try to reverse the symptom of something much deeper. It could even be something good that just needs to be bent a certain way.

As an example, harmony is a pure balance. Harmony based thinking doesn't judge. It simple notices and either complements or adjusts.

In music harmony can take on many sounds, but we'll often hear the 3rd or the 5th along with the melody. There are many more types of harmonies, but you get the idea. The comparison comes when, if I want to learn blender, I keep track of that time and balance it with something that has nothing to do with computers. Maybe it means I go for a walk or make a treat for a family member.

Harmony is all about recognizing the other parts of you, and making sure they show up at the table. All the security, creativity, purpose, love, communication, vision, and balance of these required, you notice and assist yourself in making sure these aspects of your persona come out.

As one who tends to obsess over things, I wouldn't stop obsessing per se, but I would make sure I switch up what I obsess over. So no other area of my life suffers because I am putting to much attention towards obsessing over one thing. I think the obsession and hyperfocus I have is a gift and it is best used when it is done with a balance that respects all the energies I bring to the table.
