Today, once again I will be participating in the weekly Splinterlands contest. For this week i will be designing the fire imp, a splinter lands character I've never drawn before.
Well, the character has a very strong resemblance to a dragon, so I decided to design it as an ancient Chinese dragon. I still decided to keep the colours for the original reference.
Below is the character of the fire imp I used as a reference.
Let's move over to the steps
I started the art work from making a sketch of the character to be designed.
Then I added more and more details to the sketch.
Later, I filled in all the flat colours.
Then, I went on to adding the highlights all round the body.
Finally I added the background with clouds everywhere and this is the final look.
