I made this one while I was angry.

Not the kind of anger that explodes and disappears. It felt more like something that stayed inside me, quietly getting hotter, while I continued going through my day as if everything was normal.

I didn’t really know what to do with that feeling.

So I made this.

burning.jpg

I imagined someone who was burning. Not because there was fire surrounding them, but because the fire was already inside them. Anger, disappointment, exhaustion, and maybe a lot of other things that had been kept inside for too long.

And the strangest part is that maybe no one could see it.

We can still talk like normal. We can still laugh. We can still answer when someone asks, “Are you okay?” Even when we're not.

There can be something burning inside us, and we still don't know how to explain it. Maybe that's what I wanted to capture with this piece. Not just anger, but what it feels like to keep too much inside until your own emotions start to feel like a fire burning through you.

When I finished it, I didn't feel like the anger was completely gone. But at least, for the first time, I could see what it looked like.

Sometimes I really don't know how to say what I'm feeling.

I just know that, at that moment, there was one sentence that kept repeating in my head:

“I’m burning, and no one knows.”
