Her gaze
is a dark bridge,
a wall without makeup biting candy,
a woman in the body of a creature she doesn't recognize,
screaming in the silence.
The wall hides its bricks so they won't recognize it,
it has pictures no one drew
of the helplessness of the innocent.
The innocent
looked with the eyes of those
who have never known how to eat sweets
even though they were afraid to open their mouths.

Su mirada
es un puente oscuro,
pared sin maquillajes mordiendo golosinas,
una mujer en el cuerpo de una criatura que no se reconoce,
que grita en el silencio.
La pared oculta sus ladrillos para que no la reconozcan,
tiene cuadros que nadie dibujó
sobre el desamparo de los inocentes.
Los inocentes
miraban con ojos de quien nunca supo comer golosinas
aunque teman abrir sus bocas.
