Black and white feline | My entry for #Monomad Challenge [ENG-ESP]

Hello, Hive black-and-white photography lovers!

This Sunday, I set myself the task of photographing my son @eborosa's cat without him noticing. The idea was to capture spontaneous moments—taking advantage of the fact that he was playing with one of those poles used to pick guavas and other fruit in the yard—but I didn't quite manage it.

I was just about to give up when the cat looked at me as if he wanted to pose, so I went for it.

Little by little—thinking at first that I might have to run for it—I drew closer at ground level, keeping myself hidden among the grasses.

He, every bit the dashing gentleman, stood motionless yet attentive. I held my breath, as if hypnotized.

I drew closer, and he remained right there in the same spot. He only moved at one point, trying to catch the lens that was photographing him.

What to do, then? Well, seize the opportunity and play along.

I long for that chance, and I’ll say goodbye for now—until the next black-and-white frame—but not without sending each of you a warm, radiant hug!

¡Hola amantes de la fotografía en blanco y negro de Hive!

Este domingo se me ocurrió la tarea de fotografiar al gato de mi hijo @eborosa de modo que no se enterase. La idea era obtener fotos que capturaran lo espontáneo, en virtud de aprovechar que estaba jugando con una vara de las que se emplean para atrapar guayabas y otras frutas en el patio, pero no lo logré.

Estaba a punto de desanimarme cuando el felino me miró como si quisiera posar y fui a por ello.

Poco a poco, pensando inicialmente que podría salir corriendo, fui acercándome a nivel del suelo, haciéndome el oculto entre las hierbas.

Él, como todo un galán, inmóvil, pero atento. Yo, aguantando la respiración color si estuviese hipnotizado.

Me fui acercando y él continuó ahí en el mismo sitio. Solo se movió en algún instante tratando de capturar el lente que le fotografiaba.

¿Qué hacer entonces? Pues no dejar pasar la oportunidad y seguirle el juego.

Suspiro por la chance, y me voy despidiendo por ahora hasta un próximo fotograma en blanco y negro, no sin antes regalarles a cada uno de ustedes ¡un abrazo de luz!
