Motivated by @parauri's column “Autismo: Mundo Azul” and her invitation to her space for autism awareness and knowledge, and thinking about the well-being of the autistic population and their families, regardless of whether or not a proper diagnosis exists, as there are always repercussions, I feel encouraged to share this anecdote with you.
A few days ago, a new edition of the Book Fair just ended in my city. There, I witnessed a truly magical moment, which I want to share with you.
At the end of one of the event's literary activities, the staff in charge of collecting available seats found themselves at a crossroads. I say crossroads because it was a new situation for them, and for a moment they didn't know how to react. This is understandable since this doesn't happen every day, and we are still far from achieving a way for our societies to learn to coexist harmoniously with individuals who have neurodivergent characteristics and who need supportive environments for their proper integration and personal development.

Well, let me tell you. It turns out that @lizandra was present at the event with her children, Lía and Dylan. What's significant about this? Oh... Well, Dylan is a neurodivergent child who lives with a special condition (I should point out here that, in my professional capacity as a psychologist, I still don't share the classification criteria under which we tend to determine the conditions or "labels" with which we name many of the characteristics that affect certain groups of individuals, which is quite logical given a pattern about which so much is still unknown, such as ASD or autism spectrum disorder) called Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Let's keep in mind that, despite still being a child, his physical build amazes anyone, as he's tall and possesses remarkable strength, which is impressive. On the other hand, he's not used to socializing with people. So, what happened?
I was telling you, the literary activity was over, and some workers were in charge of collecting the chairs and other implements used. They were preparing to do so when they suddenly noticed a tall young man dominating their work routine. It was Dylan, who began arranging the chairs in vertical rows without asking anyone's permission. Of course, the workers were perplexed, as were many people still present, who watched him in complete surprise.
Fortunately, they were workers with a sensitivity that deserved applause, and despite their urgency, they were able to empathize and even support Dylan's collaborative and committed gesture.
It was a magical, beautiful, indescribable moment... so much so that it didn't remain untouched by the event's official photojournalist, who approached and captured the moment with her lens to immortalize it.
I'm glad to see that, although we still have a long way to go to create adequate conditions for the recognition and acceptance of people with special needs or differences, there are sensitive individuals capable of touching and brightening lives with their actions.
I hope you who read this can similarly help those in need, regardless of their condition or time.
Receive a hug and an invitation to smile at life just because!
Best regards @roswelborges
