One of my friend got married in February this year. He was the last one in our friends group to achieve this goal. It was all because of our hard work that he finally agreed to tie a knot. We all were really excited and attended his wedding. Unfortunately, we all friends were unable to attend his wedding with family due to some personal issues and decided to have a friend’s family gathering later on in order to have an interview of newlywed couple.
After his wedding, he got busy with the post wedding parties and receptions but still managed to join us in Saturday meet ups and gatherings. The hottest topic was to decide the venue for dinner party. He was busy in the month of March and asked to plan after that. We asked him formally to let us know if any demand. He took it seriously and told us to choose some spectacular and unique restaurant having great ambiance and atmosphere, interior should be good and stylish.
It was something unexpected from a person like him who doesn’t speak a lot but these were some after effects of wedding. One of my friend made a WhatsApp group with the name “Zulqarnain Dawat” means Dinner party for Zulqarnain (newlywed friend) where we suggest names of the restaurants. I was looking for something impressive with reasonable menu $$ and suggested few but others were not interested and shared negative reviews of that place. It was like we all four friends were unable to agree on a single place. If any two agrees then the other one deny and ask to change the restaurant.
The main thing was $$$ and all of us were having little tough time but no one is saying that properly except me. I was with the mind that just arrange a party wherever we can, it is mainly about a family gathering and meet up of our wives to know each other but their point was to have a memorable one as we do not often do such gatherings. There was no conclusion but just talks and discussions.
Finally, the time came when newlywed friend asked when you all are going to give me a wedding treat. It was end of May and we said yes we all are on it and will let you know by first week of June. That Saturday night, we finalized it with two names and will further discuss on group to agree on one of them, bill will be divided into four.
There was no discussion in group and I got busy week in some personal issues. I got a call from one of my friend on 4th June that we are going to Zameer Ansari (BBQ restaurant) tomorrow night so be on time. “This restaurant was never discussed but how come it was finalized? Just leave it, I will be on time. Make sure others be on time too.” This was my reply. I thought it is better to just stay with the plan rather than postponing.
I was a bit late to the party due to my kids. We all met at Zameer Ansari’s roof and welcomed newlywed couple. It was a nice decent place but honestly, not as we wanted or expected to be. Kids started playing and running around.
Nice views of the road from roof of the restaurant. Ordered was placed already by one of my friend and was served perfectly. We wanted a place where there would be variety so each of us can order according to their taste and choice but here, Zameer Ansari is famous for BBQ and it’s their specialty. So, we have limited choices and Chinese was not available that day. Worst scene when we asked the bride for her favorite cuisine, she said Chinese 😝😝 epic moment for the one who convinced others for this place.
However, we did enjoyed the food which was perfectly cooked and presented. In addition, food tastes more delicious when you have background music. Gang of four artists were singing and playing live music at the corner. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed. Girls did some gossips and boys were waiting for the bill. OMG! Bill was 440volt shock, above the range. Once again clapping for the one who ordered without checking the menu and calculation. I am too good at it and always do calculated things in order to avoid further discrepancies LOL. Luckily, I was having some amount of 
Overall, in my opinion, it was neither too good nor too bad just an average outing where we get to see other with our families.
