Coffee is a drink that accompanies us in beautiful and not so beautiful moments of our lives, its smell, its flavor reminds us of people and places that we always carry in our hearts. To me, its smell reminds me of my grandmother, of those breakfasts when she waited for us all to eat as a family, of the afternoons when the neighbors came to visit and we chatted until late, it reminds me of my uncles, my cousins, my parents and my friends. Although each one has gone their own way, whenever we try a cup of coffee we always say "it tastes like at grandma's house". Guayoyo is the favorite coffee of this lady that I love so much, with a mild flavor and that she used to strain in a cloth strainer, which she then sweetened with panela or brown sugar, she still continues to drink it, only that because of her age she no longer consumes it frequently.
Although it sounds crazy, the coffee sold at the bus stops when we traveled here in Venezuela, have an important role in my life, we used to stop and ask for a cup for the road, we asked for many types, there were some with a very strong flavor, others light, mixed with chocolates, and milk.
I carry in my heart a little piece of each coffee that I tasted in various places of my country, with unique and representative flavors, prepared with a dash of love, a spoonful of history and culture.
In short, there are so many stories that I could continue telling but it would take me too long, hahahahahahahahaha, all very important to me and that if it were not for the aroma of coffee I would not remember.
I say goodbye with a very nice phrase
"Coffee is a balm for the heart and the spirit".
Giuseppe Verdi
