Do fake relationships really happen in real life? Like, ask someone to be your fake wife so you can inherit a million dollars? Or a fake girlfriend to make your dying grandma happy?

There's a term for it in Romance and that's "fakeship". I'm not sure if those happen in real life for whatever reason (I'm sure there are some) but it sure is fun reading about it. Here are some romance on fakeship:

Here's the grandma! Well, the guy loves the grandma and doesn't want her money, but all he wants is keeping the house that's ever felt like home. And to receive that inheritance, he has to get married in 6 months. Talk about pressure!

This is also a twist on Beauty and the Beast! Two for the price of one! What a good deal. The book also deals with food, and since I love food, so...three for the price of one?

The hero needs a wife to secure his inheritance (again??) and so he propositioned the heroine, for which he'll pay her a huge sum. And since she needs the money, how could she refuse?

She's an ex-cop, hurt by the past when her fellow officers betrayed her. He gave her a chance for justice with a catch: she has to pretend to be his fiancee for his plan to work.
