This morning, the sun came out for a little while and, since I had some free time, I decided to take advantage of it and move my reading spot to one of the green areas at the National University of Colombia.
Since I live close to the university, I didn’t need to make any special plans. I simply grabbed my book and headed out.
I found a nice spot under a tree, sat down, enjoyed the sunshine, and continued reading The Three Sisters, the book I’m currently reading.
The story takes place during World War II, a period of history that has always fascinated me. I’ve always enjoyed books, movies, and series based on real stories from those years, especially those connected to what happened in Germany.
And I have to say, The Three Sisters has completely captured my attention. 📖
I’m reading it much faster than I normally do because I’m really enjoying the story, and I always want to know what happens next.
So that was my little plan for today: some sunshine, a good book, the shade of a tree, and a quiet moment away from my usual routine.
Sometimes we don’t need to make big plans to enjoy a moment. Simply changing our surroundings and going outside for a while can make something as ordinary as reading feel completely different.

Un rato de sol y lectura ☀️📖
Hoy en la mañana salió un poquito el sol y, como tenía un ratico libre, decidí aprovecharlo para cambiar de escenario y trasladar mi espacio de lectura a una de las zonas verdes de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
Como vivo cerquita de la universidad, no necesitaba hacer ningún plan especial. Simplemente agarré mi libro y salí.
Busqué un lugar cerca de un árbol, me senté, tomé un poco de sol y continué leyendo Las tres hermanas, el libro que estoy leyendo actualmente.
La historia está ambientada en la Segunda Guerra Mundial, una época que siempre me ha llamado muchísimo la atención. Me gusta leer libros, ver películas y series basadas en historias que realmente ocurrieron durante esos años, especialmente aquellas relacionadas con lo que sucedió en Alemania.
Y debo decir que Las tres hermanas me tiene completamente enganchada. 📖
Lo estoy leyendo muchísimo más rápido de lo que normalmente leo porque la historia me está gustando demasiado y cada vez quiero saber qué va a pasar.
Así que eso fue todo mi plan de hoy: un poco de sol, un buen libro, la sombra de un árbol y un rato tranquilo lejos de la rutina.
A veces no necesitamos hacer grandes planes para disfrutar un momento. Simplemente cambiar de lugar y salir un rato puede hacer que algo tan cotidiano como leer se sienta completamente diferente.
