Hi everyone, how鈥檚 it going? Things are going pretty well around here, thank God. This morning, after not seeing each other for quite a while, I met up with my friend Claudimar to catch up on our lives鈥攊t鈥檚 been a long time since we sat down to talk. Also, yesterday we had a very special visitor at home, and thankfully, that鈥檚 been happening more often lately.
I鈥檓 talking about my little cousins Mar铆a, Victoria, Fabiana, and Fiorella鈥攁ll daughters of my cousins Maribel (the first two) and Faidelix (the last two). As for Mar铆a and Victoria, they鈥檙e from the island, although Mar铆a studies in Caracas. The thing is, we live really far apart, and even though we鈥檝e been seeing each other a bit more often since they visited us last year and we keep in touch via WhatsApp, it had still been a few months since we鈥檇 last seen each other.
On the other hand, Fabiana and Fiorella鈥攚ho, by the way, are twins鈥攍ive in Caracas. Fiorella was at our house last December; in fact, I mentioned it in a post, but we hadn鈥檛 seen Fabiana in nine years, so it was really special to have them both at home together, because ever since they were very little, my cousin would spend her vacations on the island, and they鈥檇 split their time between my house and Maribel鈥檚 house. So we have a special place in our hearts for the girls (who aren鈥檛 so little anymore), and we were more than happy to have them at home, even if it was just for a few hours.
Thanks to the island鈥檚 intense heat, we settled into my mom鈥檚 room to chat for hours. I鈥檒l tell you, these girls seem to be competing to see who can talk the most鈥攂ut the truth is, we鈥檝e got so many stories to share after not seeing each other for so long, and the hours just fly by as we jump from one story to the next, trying to catch up.
We had a delicious meal, drank some coffee, took tons of photos, hugged each other a lot, and the girls had a blast playing with the chickens鈥攖hey even took pictures of themselves with them.
Without a doubt, this visit was a real pick-me-up for the heart.
