Yesterday afternoon after my son Matias' math practice, we decided to do some pending shopping at home, and my mom also took the opportunity to go to the market, so this time instead of going to Rattan, we decided to go to the Rio Supermarket branch that we have left in Assumption because it is a much larger supermarket with a wide variety of products.
This supermarket is part of a fairly large chain on the island, in fact I think they have more than 6 branches, and the truth is that I love them because their structure is quite large, which makes shopping much more comfortable, they also have a wide variety of brands and products, and consequently the prices are also varied, so you can find products to suit every need.
At home, if we are going to buy few things we usually shop at Rattan, which apart from being in our municipality is also well stocked, but when it comes to larger purchases we prefer to go to Rio because there is a greater variety of brands, but the truth is that I prefer it for the convenience, since its aisles are wider and there are many boxes, consequently less waiting to cancel, so the shopping day is much more pleasant.
This supermarket has a bakery, deli, frozen food area, a huge butcher shop, fruit and vegetable area, grocery store, pharmacy, spices and confectionery, and even has an area where you can buy roast chicken and a variety of dishes ready to taste there or take home.
This time we all went, because although it sounds strange, my children like to go to the supermarket with us, I think in fact they are used to it because since they were little they have done it, since we did not like to leave them in the care of anyone else, we only did it for work issues, so they see it as a family outing 🤣.
That day as it was also my mom, Miranda was her companion and helper, while Jose, Matias and I took care of our shopping, luckily at the time of payment although there were a lot of people in the super that day, we did not have to wait too long, as they had all the boxes enabled, so the whole process was relatively fast, although then we had to stop at Rattan on the way back home, as my mom needed to buy some things there, but the truth is that shopping in Rio is quite an experience.
Ayer en la tarde después de las prácticas de matemática de mi hijo Matías, decidimos hacer algunas compras pendientes en casa, y mi mamá también aprovecho para hacer mercado, así que en esta oportunidad en lugar de ir a Rattan, decidimos ir a la sucursal de Río Supermarket que nos queda en la asunción ya que es un supermercado mucho más amplio y con una gran variedad de productos.
Este supermercado es parte de una cadena bastante grande en la isla, de hecho creo que pasan de 6 sucursales, y la verdad es que a mí me encantan porque su estructura es bastante amplia, lo que hace que comprar sea mucho más cómodo, aparte cuentan con una gran variedad de marcas y productos, y en consecuencia los precios también son variados, así que puedes encontrar productos que se ajusten a cada necesidad.
En casa, si vamos a comprar pocas cosas solemos hacer las compras en Rattan, que aparte de estar en nuestro municipio también está bien surtido, pero cuando se trata de compras más grandes preferimos ir a Río porque hay mayor variedad de marcas, pero la verdad es que yo lo prefiero por la comodidad, ya que sus pasillos son más amplios y hay muchas cajas, en consecuencia menos espera para cancelar, así que el día de compras es mucho más placentero.
Este supermercado cuenta con panadería, charcutería, área de congelados, una carnicería enorme, área de frutas y vegetales, bodegón, farmacia, venta de especies y confitería, y hasta cuenta con un área donde puedes comprar pollo asado y una variedad de platillos listos para degustar ahí o llevar a casa.
Esta vez nos fuimos todos, porque aunque suene raro, a mis hijos les gusta ir al súper con nosotros, creo que de hecho están acostumbrados porque desde pequeñitos lo han hecho, ya que no nos gustaba dejarlos al cuidado de nadie más, solo lo hacíamos por temas laborales, así que lo ven como una salida familiar 🤣
Ese día como también fue mi mamá, Miranda fue su acompañante y ayudante, mientras José, Matías y yo nos encargamos de nuestras compras, por suerte al momento de pagar aunque había muchísima gente en el súper ese día, no tuvimos que esperar demasiado, ya que tenían todas las cajas habilitadas, así que todo el proceso fue relativamente rápido, aunque luego tuvimos que detenernos en Rattan de regreso a casa, ya que mi mamá necesitaba comprar unas cosas ahí, pero la verdad es que comprar en Río es toda una experiencia.
