At last the vacations are here! Dad after a month of waiting was able to
take his vacation from work and the kids couldn't be happier!
One of the most awaited dates by everyone at home is the end of the school year for being the longest and because at that point we definitely need them desperately!!!
Al fin llegaron las vacaciones a casa! Papá después de un mes de espera pudo
tomar sus vacaciones en el trabajo y los niños no podrían estar más felices!
Una de las fechas más esperadas por todos en casa son las de cierre de año escolar por ser las más largas y porque en ése punto definitivamente las necesitamos con desesperación!!
The kids resumed classes in January after a two week break for Christmas and from then on we only stopped in July so both they and we ended up exhausted and dreaming about the school break that starts in mid-July and ends in mid-September.
Long before school ended Matias and Miranda were planning what they wanted to do and of course the first choice was the beach and then trips to the movies, the malls and the nursery, but the plans had to wait because my husband's vacation was postponed for a whole month.
During that time we decided to do activities at home, go out with friends and with my husband on weekends to the beach until he was free for the four of us and finally the time came! On Thursday he went on vacation and that same day we went for a walk in La Asuncion square, a place that they like very much and of course we like it too.
Los chicos retomaron clases en Enero después de un descanso de dos semanas por Navidad y de ahí en adelante sólo paramos en Julio así que tanto ellos como nosotros terminamos agotados y soñamos con el receso escolar que inicia a mediados de Julio y finaliza a mediados de Septiembre.
Desde mucho antes de terminar las clases Matias y Miranda estaban planificando lo que querían hacer y por supuesto la primera opción era la playa y luego salidas al cine, los centros comerciales y el vivero, pero los planes tuvieron que esperar porque las vacaciones de mi esposo fueron pospuesta por un mes completo.
Durante ése tiempo decidimos hacer actividades en casa, salir con amigos y con mi esposo los fines de semana a la playa hasta que él estuviese libre para poder estar los cuatro y finalmente llegó la hora! El jueves salió de vacaciones y ése mismo día nos dimos un paseo por la plaza de La Asunción, un lugar que a ellos les gusta mucho y por supuesto a nosotros también.
This time we took the opportunity to walk through some of the streets, something we don't usually do because I don't like walking and even less if it's sunny, but the kids touched my weak point "you can take pictures for a post " hahaha and well, we went for a walk.
They were happy because they like to explore and we walked through places around the plaza that they didn't know and the truth is that I didn't dislike the walk as much as I thought.
La Asuncion is a very beautiful place, because it preserves its colonial aspect, so I was able to take some very nice pictures and now that I am a fan of black and white pictures I wanted to show you some in that format.
Ésta vez aprovechamos de recorrer algunas de sus calles, cosa que no solemos hacer porque no me gusta mucho caminar y menos si hay sol, pero los niños me tocaron el punto débil "puedes tomar fotos para un post" jajaja y bueno, nos fuimos a caminar.
Ellos estaban contentos porque les gusta explorar y caminamos por lugares en los alrededores de la plaza que no conocían y la verdad no me disgustó tanto la caminata como pensaba.
La Asunción es un lugar muy bello, debido a que conserva su aspecto colonial, por lo que pude tomar algunas fotos muy bonitas y ahora que soy fan de las fotos a blanco y negro quise mostrarles algunas en ése formato.
After a very long walk we finally returned to the plaza and decided to refresh ourselves by eating some delicious ice cream that they sell in a very nice little place located in one of the corners of the plaza. The four of us enjoyed it since we love sweets haha.
We spent some time in the place and while Jose and I sat on one of the benches to enjoy the breeze, Matias and Miranda decided to play hide and seek, one of their favorite games in that place because it has many options to hide.
Finally after a few hours we returned home with some very anxious children because the next day we would go to the beach again.
Luego de un larguísimo recorrido finalmente regresamos a la plaza y decidimos refrescarnos comiendo unos deliciosos helados que venden en un lugarcito muy bonito ubicado en una de las esquinas cercanas a la plaza. Cosa que los cuatro disfrutamos ya que el dulce nos encanta jaja.
Estuvimos un buen rato en el lugar y mientras José y yo nos sentamos en uno de sus bancos a disfrutar de la brisa, Matias y Miranda decidieron jugar al escondite, uno de sus juegos favoritos en ése lugar porque tiene muchas opciones para esconderse.
Finalmente después de unas horas regresamos a casa con unos niños muy ansiosos porque al día siguiente iríamos nuevamente a la playa.
For them that is their favorite outing and the truth is that I go half reluctantly because I don't love it and even less in this time of the year when the heat is terrible, but we have our agreements, so sometimes we do what they want to do and sometimes what mom and dad want to do. So this time it was time to please them and we went to the beach but we were surprised that the one we usually visit was full of seaweed, so we took a tour that took us to Playa El Agua, one farther away from our house but it was really beautiful.
As I say I'm not a big fan of the beach and for a long time I just stay on the sand sunbathing and the kids bathe with José, but this time I wanted to surprise them and without telling them I took the bathing suit and the happiness on their faces was priceless.
Para ellos ésa es su salida favorita y la verdad yo voy medio a regañadientes porque no me encanta y menos en ésta época en que el calor es terrible, pero tenemos nuestros acuerdos, por lo que a veces se hace lo que ellos quieren hacer y otras veces lo que papá y mamá desean. ¡Que viva la democracia! Jajaja.
Así que esta vez tocó complacerlos y nos fuimos a la playa pero nos llevamos la sorpresa que la que solemos visitar estaba llena de algas, así que hicimos un recorrido que nos llevó hasta Playa El Agua, una más alejada de nuestra casa pero que estaba realmente bella.
Como les digo no soy muy fan de la playa y hace muchísimo sólo me quedo en la arena tomando sol y los niños se bañan con José, pero ésta vez quise darles la sorpresa y sin decirle nada me llevé el traje de baño y la felicidad en sus caritas no tiene precio.
Luckily there wasn't much swell and the water was super nice so I enjoyed it a lot even though I came home as red as a shrimp!
We usually go early because being on vacation in the afternoon there are a lot of people and the truth is something that we do not like, in
fact we are located in a well away place to be quiet and to enjoy the time together which I think is very important.
Yesterday I became aware that in our last visits to the beach the children thanks to the boards have lost much fear of the waves and go into the sea looking for the best ones to slide, of course always under the supervision of dad inside the water and mom right on the shore attentive to any eventuality because they do not know how to swim.
Another thing that I noticed with great nostalgia is how much my children have grown. Before, when they went to the beach they made sure to bring their toys to drive Jose crazy making tunnels, pools, castles and whatever they could think of in the sand.

Generalmente vamos temprano porque al estar de vacaciones en la tarde hay muchísima gente y la verdad es algo que no nos gusta, de hecho nos ubicamos en un lugar bien alejado para estar tranquilos y poder disfrutar del tiempo juntos que creo es muy importante.
Ayer fuí consciente que en nuestras últimas visitas a la playa los niños gracias a las tablas le han perdido mucho el miedo a las olas y se adentran en el mar buscando las mejores para deslizarse, por supuesto siempre bajo la supervisión de papá dentro del agua y mamá justo en la orilla atenta a cualquier eventualidad pues no saben nadar.
Otra cosa que pude notar con gran nostalgia por cierto, es lo mucho que han crecido mis hijos. Antes al ir a la playa se aseguraban en llevar sus juguetes para volver loco a José haciendo túneles, piscinas, castillos y cuantas cosas se les ocurriera en la arena.

Well, I really enjoy being at home, in my little bed watching a good movie the four of us or in a BEAUTIFUL place that is in our plans to visit this vacation once we solve a car failure.
That place is Hacienda Nido de Aguilas, my special place. Fresh air, zero sun, zero heat, a delicious hammock to rest while the kids have fun at their leisure in the extensive grounds prepared with different outdoor activities where we definitely disconnect from everything.
Ahora esos juegos quedaron en el pasado y corren libres directo al mar de donde literalmente no salen hasta que es momento de ir a casa.
Quizá no es de mis lugares favoritos para pasar el día, pero aunque suene contradictorio es uno de los que me regala más sonrisas y momentos bonitos porque ver a los niños disfrutar de esa manera la verdad es un regalo, así que aunque no amo el sol, ni sudar, ni el calor a pesar de la brisa, amo ver la sonrisa en la cara de mis hijos y ése brillito que se enciende en sus ojos con sólo decir que vamos a la playa.
Y ustedes se preguntarán qué es lo que me gusta?? Ya que no me gusta caminar, ni el sol, ni sudar y pare de contar!!! Pues disfruto mucho estar en casa, en mi camita viendo una buena película los cuatro o en su defecto en un lugar HERMOSO que se encuentra en nuestros planes visitar en estas vacaciones una vez que resolvamos una falla del carro.
Ése lugar es la Hacienda Nido de Águilas, mi lugar especial. Aire fresco, cero sol, cero calor, una hamaca deliciosa para descansar mientras los niños se divirtien a sus anchas en el extenso terreno preparado con distintas actividades al aire libre donde definitivamente nos desconectamos de todo.

Por lo pronto seguimos disfrutando de éstas vacaciones, juntos los cuatro. Por supuesto hay días de descanso porque también tenemos que aprovechar y adelantar algunos pendientes en casa, y es que no todo pueden ser salidas y paseos, papá y mamá tienen cosas que hacer.
Mientras los niños se divierten en casa con actividades programadas para tal fin. Hoy por ejemplo hicieron con su papá un ponqué de chocolate y vainilla.
Así que nos merendamos súper rico con un delicioso ponque y cafecito, ya que Miranda tuvo una de sus fiestas de "té" con café jajaja.
Ya les estaré contando cómo siguen nuestras vacaciones ahora que finalmente estamos los cuatro libres, porque en ésta casa, vacaciones sin papá, no son vacaciones!
