“One of the symptoms of an approaching nervous breakdown is the belief that one's work is terribly important.” - Bertrand Russell
Now, don't get me wrong, work is important, I know. If anything, you should be working and striving to do better every damn day. Yet, I say there's a limit to work and productivity as well, a limit we're better off not to cross.
Take it from me! I've quite heavily preached about work ethic, networking, and opportunities for the past 8 months or so. At present, after so many months, I guess I've finally crossed a certain limit. I overstretched myself and pulled a muscle. I have broken my mental barrier of tolerance, and have left my determination tanks absolutely dry; there's not a lot of juice left in me at the moment.
Albeit, everything is just fine around me and in my life; I have no complaints. Yet, for some odd reason, I don't feel "fine", mentally at least.
Yes, I do put on a happy face and strong posture in front of everyone else. End of the day I have to lead and motivate certain people, I have responsibilities at home and at work. I can be tired, drained, and unmotivated, but when someone comes to me with a task or problem, I must tackle it with full vigor and conviction. I must maintain that can-do attitude; even if I don't feel like it.
Even if I myself am not motivated, I must be ready to motivate. I must be ready to spread and exude positivity into my environment. Simply, lead by example

This past week was absolute SH*T! My sleep cycle was messed up, there was no such thing as a diet, nor did I eat on time. I spent a minimum of 8 hours a day sitting in front of my PC; yet, I got very little work done. I'm not the most active and efficient person I know, but I do get all my work done on time; this week, however, I underperformed. Procrastination, unnecessary panic and worry, and the attention span of a goldfish; that about sums it up.
So, I've taken it easy these past 2 days, during the weekend. And by easy I mean that I just stressed less; I tried to at least. Tried a few new things, and tried some old things too, but with a new and different approach.
Work was still on fire and on schedule though. Actually, today was the busiest day of them all. It was an extremely productive day too. I got a lot of work done and got some good quality and efficient bit of deep sleep; which certainly helped.
Early on in the day, I got some groceries for myself. A bit of junk food, chocolates, and my current favorite blend of coffee. Came back and started doing some laundry. Usually, I avoid such activities when the workload is high, but somehow I pulled it all off. Sent some of our 3D products out for delivery and logged in some newer details and information.
Yes, I know, I shouldn't be spending money on junk food, nor should I be eating junk. Yet, it's not a regular thing for me. Sometimes you just have to let go, and as long as you're not overdoing it, I say there's no harm in it.
Chocolate helps though. I don't know if it's a mental thing or if it really works or not, but it certainly feels like a mood lifter to me.
Now, after a busy and long day, here I am, looking back. A more energetic version of me, and way less stressed; a tad bit happier too. It's amazing how much you can pull off with a bit of quality sleep and an efficient daily routine. Time management is key I'd say.
Stress itself is a killer. Not only does it kill your insides and play with your thoughts, but it also aids in wasting precious time. My breathing hasn't been the best this month, which is also caused due to excess stress. I'll have to work on it, dealing with stress and my breathing. Breathing exercises do help and also being conscious of your breathing patterns too.
I'd like to see where I am within a month or so. Hopefully, my mental health will improve, which will aid in my physical activities and time management as well.
So, I guess I'll be seeing ya'll later with an update, hopefully, a positive one.
