Today I come to show you a small project that I carried out yesterday. I had had this old basket at home for a few days because despite its deterioration I knew I could give it a new opportunity. I wasn't sure what it would be used for at first but now after seeing it finished it's clear to me.

The basket is just over 10 years old and was part of a bicycle. I rescued it to give it a new opportunity. As you can see in the photo it was losing its paint and had many rusty parts. With a knife (it was the only thing I had at hand) I started to peel off the paint that was bulging. Then with silver spray paint, I painted all the sides of the basket, and finally with a piece of cloth and liquid silicone I covered the base to give a better finish.

Bienvenidos a mi blog.

Hoy vengo a enseñaros un pequeño proyecto que realicé ayer. Tenía esta vieja cesta en casa desde hace unos días porque a pesar de su deterioro sabía que podía darle una nueva oportunidad. Al principio no tenía muy claro para qué iba a servir pero ahora después de verla terminada lo tengo claro.

La cesta tiene algo más de 10 años y formaba parte de una bicicleta. La rescaté para darle una nueva oportunidad. Como podéis ver en la foto estaba perdiendo la pintura y tenía muchas partes oxidadas. Con un cuchillo (era lo único que tenía a mano) empecé a despegar la pintura que estaba abultada. Luego con pintura en spray plateada, pinté todos los lados de la cesta, y finalmente con un trozo de tela y silicona líquida cubrí la base para darle un mejor acabado.
