A few months ago, I had the pleasure of collaborating on a photography project that sought to explore the end of life from different perspectives. As expected, the cemetery became one of the project's most photographed locations.
I believe that a cemetery, beyond its striking beauty and profound symbolism, is a place that should be photographed with sensitivity and respect. It is a place of solemn rest that should never be disturbed without a clear purpose, whether artistic, documentary, or otherwise meaningful.
I have taken many photographs in the cemetery, but I had never photographed the Tobias Gallery. I learned about it from my friend 
The gallery is a kind of underground catacomb, a long corridor illuminated by natural light entering through openings in the ceiling. It is where the remains of people who were never claimed or who have no family mausoleum are laid to rest. Without a doubt, it is an impressive place with a unique atmosphere, and I am certain I will return one day to explore it more thoroughly.
The photographs I am sharing today were taken during that first visit. Although we did not have enough time to fully explore the place, I was able to capture a few images that I find especially interesting. Always with the respect that this place deserves, today I would like to share them with you.

Hace unos meses tuve el placer de colaborar en un proyecto fotográfico que pretendía abordar el fin de la vida desde diferentes perspectivas. Como era de esperar, el cementerio fue uno de los escenarios más fotografiados durante el proyecto.
Pienso que un cementerio, además de su impresionante belleza arquitectónica y de todo el simbolismo que encierra, es un lugar que debe fotografiarse con sensibilidad y respeto. Es un espacio de descanso solemne que no debería ser profanado sin un propósito claro, ya sea artístico, documental o de cualquier otra índole que justifique nuestra presencia allí.
He realizado muchas fotografías en el cementerio, pero nunca había retratado la Galería Tobías. Conocí ese lugar gracias a mi amigo
La galería es una especie de catacumba: un largo pasillo subterráneo iluminado por entradas de luz natural en el techo. Allí descansan los restos humanos que no fueron reclamados o que no cuentan con un osario propio. Sin duda es un lugar impactante, lleno de historia y de una atmósfera muy particular. Estoy seguro de que regresaré en el futuro para explorarlo con más calma.
Las fotografías que hoy les comparto fueron tomadas durante esa primera visita. Aunque no dispusimos de mucho tiempo para recorrer el lugar en profundidad, pude conseguir algunas imágenes que considero interesantes. Siempre desde el respeto que merece este espacio, hoy quiero compartirlas con ustedes.
