Good evening, #Monomad friends
Here is my entry for the #monomad contest by 
A sea of people...
A land of good people and good food. Not always warm, but always welcoming to those who want to discover it. It isn’t swayed by frivolities or superficialities. Only genuine devotion reveals to the observer an image that comes close to the true reality of Porto.
A dark land, say the Moors… A land of coarse people, the snobs sneer. But none of the malicious gossip—which almost seems to scorn its authenticity—makes it change the way it presents itself.
It doesn’t beat around the bush. Pure. Tough. Straightforward. But always affectionate and longing for those who want to find it, discover it, or revisit it.
This is the true magic of the city of Porto.
Um mar de gente...
Terra de boas gentes e de boas comidas. Nem sempre quente, mas sempre de braços abertos para quem a quer descobrir. Não se deixa levar por frivolidades ou superficialidades. Apenas uma entrega genuína faz ver, a quem a observa, uma imagem próxima do que é de facto a realidade do Porto.
Terra escura, dizem os Mouros... De gentes grosseiras, pilgarreiam os esnobes. Mas nada das más línguas que quase parecem desdenhar da sua genuinidade a fazem mudar a forma de se apresentar.
Não vem com rodeios. Pura. Dura. Frontal. Mas sempre carinhosa e saudosa de quem a quer encontrar, descobrir ou revisitar.
Esta é a verdadeira magia da cidade do Porto.
