La revolución marca un antes y un después en la historia de Cuba. El triunfo del 1 de enero de 1959 significó para Cuba la apertura de todas las posibilidades, haciendo de su cultura una de las más prolíficas de Latinoamérica. Cuba destaca en la danza, con el internacionalmente famoso Ballet Nacional de Cuba, en la literatura, con autores como José María Heredia, José Martí, José Lezama Lima y Alejo Carpentier y en prácticamente cualquier manifestación artística, llámese teatro, cine o artes visuales.

Existen dos formas de llegar a Cuba, la aérea y la marítima. La isla cuenta con 10 aeropuertos internacionales y 15 nacionales distribuidos a lo largo y ancho del archipiélago; 4 terminales de cruceros y 15 marinas internacionales completan la infraestructura logística que facilita el turismo de Cuba.
