Time flies! Just completed the 28th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

Staying In Bronze Fray

For this brawl, I decided to stick to what I fought in the last fray, which was Fray 6, which was 3/2/2/1. I felt I was starting to find my grove and this fray is neither too difficult nor too easy for me.

Only had 5 battles this time and had a difficult brawl this time. Moreover, I didn't have my star MVP Yodin Zaku with me for the first time in a long while because the chest rewards weren't good and I felt that it wasn't worth it to continue paying expensive rental for Yodin Zaku.

We Got 5th!

So for the final result, we finished a lowly 5th out of 10 guilds and got 646 Merits! This came after back to back 1st so in some sense, we were brought back to reality.

Individually, I had 5 fights this time. Managed to win only 2 with my weakened lineups. If I had Yodin Zaku, I would probably would be able to get 1 more win, but that's life.

Battle 1 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Isgald Vorst

There was no chance for me in this one, with Ilama and Quora on the opposing side. Nevertheless I put up a very strong fight but unfortunately, a loss is still a loss.

Battle 2 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: None

Unfortunately, my Life lineup came face to face with a full Magic lineup and there were just too many healers on the opposing side to manage and I was outlasted.

Battle 3 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Isgald Vorst

Both sides put out an almost identical lineup but the biggest difference was not the cards on the playing field. It was the choice of summoner! With 1 extra speed, I had the turn advantage and it was very vital when 2 Gladius cards faced off with each other. A rare MVP for the summoner but it's what it is!

Battle 4 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Katrelba Gobson

This battle went all wrong for my opponent. My opponent used Venari Seedsmith and placed filler cards at the backline, which instantly were free kills for my Katrelba Gobson. While they had difficulties fighting Djinn Chwala on the frontline, Katrelba Gobson swept through the entire backline with ease and the battle ended with all my 6 cards standing.

Battle 5 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Witch Of Warwick

This was the battle which I felt I would have won if I had Yodin Zaku. Still, I managed to put up a strong lineup with 3 Legendary cards. Unfortunately, my opponent's summoner was what killed my team.

MVP: None

So that sums up my 5 battles for this brawl! It has been a long while since I won less than half of my battles but let's hope the next brawl will be better.

Review Of Gladius Cards

The Merits are coming in fast and I have enough Merits for my 14th Gladius case! Bad luck this time with the minimum 1 Rare 4 Commons! At least I have enough Isgald Vorst to combine to Level 2!
