Hello hive community I wanted to share this

I grew up in a small village where even getting electricity was a struggle. Back then, it felt like we were living in the Stone Age. Just getting enough food on the table was hard because neither of my parents had enough to take care of us, let alone send us to school comfortably.

Growing up like that made me feel like life was just an endless hardship, to the point where I almost lost hope. Living through those conditions alongside my three brothers left a heavy mark on me. When I look back at where I came from, I’m often pulled back into those memories. But I always remind myself:

nothing is permanent. Maybe—just maybe—this hard season will come to an end. I’m not sure when I will finally reach what I crave. Maybe it’s money, but deep down, I know it isn't just money—it's freedom. The freedom to stand on my own feet without having to depend on anyone for my survival or peace of mind.

Now at 20, I am working to rebuild my family’s name. I was fortunate enough to get a spot at the university, but I know a degree alone won't feed me—I need real work to earn a living. I can't be certain what the future holds, but if the standard paths don't work out, I trust that what I do best with my own hands and mind will sustain me and restore our standing.

Looking back, those painful childhood memories weren't meant to destroy me; they were shaping me into someone who could endure. At a young age, I learned to depend on myself for my own happiness. I am doing everything I can to move past the weight of the past and build something lasting. I refuse to let myself fail.

Whenever I find myself in a difficult situation, I repeat a simple truth to myself: I am going through this right now, but it will pass. When it ends, it will leave me with something—good or bad. If the outcome is good, I will cherish it. If it’s bad, I will learn from the mistake so I never repeat it again.

Life feels like sailing on an open sea. The waves push us in different directions, and both the calm waters and the storms impact who we become. We have to experience both sides to truly feel the beauty of living. You and I are both going through our own tides right now. Whatever situation you find yourself in, embrace what brings you strength and never let anything force you to lose hope.

Thank you to the Hive community for reading and supporting my journey.
