Speaking to a fellow today and he talked about not having a career, wanting to choose a career but finding it really hard to choose what career path to follow. That struck me and gave me some sense of awareness and realisation, because up until now, I just realised that I have been working to survive, haven’t focused on having a career. The world seems like it is built in this order, go to school, find a job and pay bills till you die. Some people have gotten the hack by having a career, this career could be in medicine, engineering, computer, now its possible to have a career in crypto. What this means is that no matter what, your skills in your career will always get you that job and won’t leave you stranded. It is what motivates you and keep you going in life. Some people wake up one day and decide that their current career is not suitable for them any more, so they try to find a new one. This is where you see some people leaving their law job and go into cooking or having a restaurant, sometimes things work out for them, some times it doesn’t, such is life.
Having a career goal some times mean that even after your death, your career could still live on and be extended to your children. I am not necessarily talking about skilled careers like being a doctor or a lawyer which we obviously know can not be extended through generations. But owning a med school or business that was grown because you wanted to build a business career that can be inherited by your family or who ever you placed as a beneficiary. Most people that build a career built it based on passion and the zeal they possessed, and they made it their life goal to make sure it becomes a reality.
Thinking about crypto and having a career in crypto today might seem like a joke to some people but at the same time it will be seen as having a foresight towards the future. The volatility of crypto makes relying on crypto really unstable, because, today you might be unbelievably rich, next thing, the volatility is humbling you and making you scalp for every dollar possible. So how do you build a career in crypto? Is it a possible achievement? As an individual who doesn’t have any skill in tech or crypto, but they love crypto and the idea of building a career in crypto, where do they start from? Having a crypto exchange is a lot, cost a lot of money and can not be an option for someone who wants to start a career in crypto. Crypto content creation is another aspect some one can branch into and probably make a career from there, look at CoinMarketCap and Coingecko, can we consider that a career someone built? Of course because we get a lot of information from those places, people rely on these platforms for crypto information. I have been in this crypto space for a while, and I am interested in crypto and won’t mind considering a career in crypto, but my problem is where to start. I wish I can know what my possible options are so I can work with that.
