... today. She’s a spectacular sight to behold....but the coolest thing...is she tastes good too! The flowers are edible as well as the ripe fruits. We have yet to taste the ripe fruits as this is a younger addition to our food forest. The first year, we just ate her flowers lol. This year she’s really put off a ton of flowers! Enough to nibble on and let go to fruit. We are growing these as edible shrubs but can easily be grown as trees as well. I’ll post a video below of Jake Mace, a food Forster, who captured these flowers as he was eating them. We love that the leaves are perennial green also! Even in our colder climate, they stay green.
