🦉 The grey wagtail (Motacilla cinerea)

📚 Motacilla lat .: mōto, mōtare move continuously, -cilla tail (cilla like a tail - only in ornithology, erroneous established name)
📚 cinerea lat.: cineris ash, cinereus, cineraceus ash gray

Unlike its relatives, other types of wagtails, this species is very rare for me. If a white wagtail can be seen in the city, a yellow wagtail in the meadows, tree pipits in the forest, then this wagtail is generally found by chance.

The only thing I know is that three times in a row she came across to me in exactly the same place. This place is located in the forest, near the reserve-peak substation nearby. It was in this place that I met her, but not every year.
We call her "Mountain Wagtail", and apparently it is so named because in most cases she lives in mountainous places. There are no mountains in my region.
