📚 flava flavus (lat.) yellow, gold, golden yellow

These yellow birds live on the outskirts of my city, in the meadows near the big river. Every spring, at the beginning of May, I go there to visit them. And at this time they have a mating season, the males sing songs and take care of the females.

In the spring, finding them is easier than ever, because there is still no dense vegetation and tall grass, they are very clearly visible on the bald ground where they walk in search of insects.

Birds are not very afraid of people, and you can get closer to them, the bird will not fly away, but will gradually run away. In this meadow there is a place where local fishermen built a shack from improvised materials. Next to it is a small garden where onions grow or something like that, and a bench for relaxing. I always stop there to rest, and these birds walk around this garden without fear of me at all.
