馃 The redwing (Turdus iliacus)
馃摎 Turdus (Latin) thrush
馃摎 iliacus ilia (lat.) sides, iliacus with sides (i.e. with red sides)
Unlike the fieldfare thrush familiar to us, this species of thrush is migratory. With the advent of spring, when the snow has almost melted, he appears in our forests. And it is not surprising that these two species of thrush meet together in the spring. They can also nest together when nesting. They also protect the common territory together.
He is more shy and cautious, so getting close to him is quite problematic. But I managed to hide well when photographing kingfishers, and this thrush did not notice me and sat on a nearby bush. He has his caught lunch in his beak.
