🦉 The spotted flycatcher (Muscicapa striata)

This species of flycatcher is not common to me, compared to the pied flycatcher. However, I know places where they can always be found, but literally in the amount of one or two birds, but it is not numerous. And what is remarkable, these places are surrounded by coniferous trees, even though the forest is mixed.

The bird preys on flying insects, however, it does not do it directly on the fly, but catches it from the surface. She sits on a separate branch so that the weapon is clearly visible, and then, when she sees the prey, she flies up and grabs it. At the same time, she again returns to her former perch.
