The meadow located on the outskirts of the city is the most favorable place for observing these birds of prey. There is an open space, and near the river there is a hill, and therefore you see them at the level of their eyes, they fly there low.
Flying over the meadow, they examine the surroundings in search of slow prey, such as fledglings of birds, eggs. And if they find nothing, they switch to the river, where they fish. Seeing a fish, they go down and grab it from the surface of the water. sometimes they succeed.
And on the other side of the shore there is a forest. There they look out for rodents such as chipmunks or squirrels. Once I witnessed how a kite caught a squirrel, and coming closer, he dropped her fromhis paws, she fell from a great height, but remained alive.
