My cinnamon dog.
Francisca was a very young girl and the thought of never seeing her father again shattered her soul. It was a hard blow for her and her mother, because he was the breadwinner of their family, with the days the need became noticeable, her mother had to mend the clothes of the neighbors to be able to live but with time she mastered the art of sewing and ended up making suits.
In this way they became self-sufficient, Francisca studied until she graduated. She had already turned 19 and being so young she became an English teacher, she immediately started working in a nearby high school, everything was going very well until one day her mother fell ill.
It was an April afternoon, when she returned home she found her mother, lying down, complaining with a pain in her chest, she took her to the hospital and she was diagnosed with cancer, she was given chemotherapy, Francisca sold many of her belongings to save her mother, it was a year of anguish and frustration for her.
One day her mother spoke to her and said: "Remember when I pushed you on the swing and you laughed; those laughs made me so happy, I want you to remember me like that, as the one who celebrated your fifteenth birthday, the one who hugged you and congratulated you the day you graduated" Her mother felt a great pain, in her body but more in her soul, she knew she could no longer go on, so she said goodbye and that same night, she passed away.
As a consequence of the loss of her mother, Francisca suffered from depression and had to go to a psychiatrist, who prescribed her medication to sleep and others for her depression, but nothing calmed her deep sadness.
One day, while walking down the street, she noticed a little dog following her. She did not see its owners or any person who could be its owner, so she kept walking to the bus stop, when the bus arrived she did not want to get on, because she felt sorry for the little dog that suddenly started to wag its tail, then she petted it and realized it was a female, they walked a very long and tiring distance.
Francisca found comfort in her little dog, when she caressed her cute fur, brown, like chocolate and her pretty eyes like two stars, filled her with joy and hugged her, she returned the affection by licking and nibbling her hands, she called her cinnamon because of her color and felt as if God had sent her to soothe her feelings'.
The house next to Francisca's was sold and bought by a young man, very handsome, jet black eyes, brown hair, white skin. He had a poodle dog.
After a week, her new neighbor knocked on her door, she invited him to come in, saying: "Nice to meet you, my name is Francisca, he stretched out his hand and said: "My name is Simon, I came to propose you to cross the dogs and get puppies, Francisca asked: "What is your dog's name? Simon answered: "Neron", the girl added: "I agreed to cross the dogs, because Cinnamon is in heat, I will be present because I will not leave my dog alone.
In the afternoons, Francisca accompanied and took care of Cinnamon at Simon's house, he gave her coffee and a snack. This was done while Cinnamon was in heat; from then on, Francisca did not go to the young man's house anymore, because there was no one there, not even the dog.
A few days after giving birth to the canine, Simon showed up with a floral arrangement, "This is for you Francisca, I also brought milk and food for the puppies".
Francisca, saw this wonderful gesture and asked Simon.
"What are you going to do with the puppies, are you going to sell them?".
Simon smiled and confessed: "Actually I just wanted to meet you".
Thus began a lifelong love between them and Francisca now tells her grandchildren how God sent her an angel in the form of a puppy to help her in her worst suffering.
