Exploring Along the Perimeter Promenade (Eng/Esp)

Passing through Caigüire without visiting its beautiful beach is practically a missed opportunity to lift your spirits, so I crossed Perimetral Avenue to get as close as possible to that marvelous blue spectacle. Everything seemed calm—perfect for contemplating the landscape through my artist’s eyes. I stood on the sand, and my senses took in the power of the majestic sea.

I love taking photographs of nature, and the beach is a beautiful setting for capturing incredible images. The sun accompanied me in this endeavor, casting its intense overhead light, allowing me to appreciate the mysterious and fascinating Gulf of Cariaco as well as the hills on the other side of the Sucre coast.

For years I have wondered what lies hidden in this gulf, whose abyss is uncharted due to its depth—a place where there is neither light nor oxygen, yet which is nonetheless an inexhaustible reserve of fish. The beach has a rocky shore, with rocks that have been there for centuries—a sight that leads me to reflect on the immortality of the elements. I love it when the sky is clear and the clouds form shapes; I can spend time trying to make out those silhouettes. I find it amazing how the human eye can associate them with objects, animals, fruits, and even people.

This ecosystem is rich in natural elements, so in addition to fish and other marine species, you can find various trees, shrubs, and vines that have adapted to these conditions. Life always finds ways to thrive in surprising ways, even under the most challenging conditions for survival.

I've always found life at the beach to be relaxing; with scenery like that, there are fewer reasons to stress about material things. Breathing in fresh air is a great way to be grateful for being alive and for having the good fortune to enjoy these wonderful views.

Pasar por Caigüire y no visitar su hermosa playa es prácticamente perder una oportunidad para alegrar el alma, así que crucé la avenida Perimetral para estar lo más cerca posible de ese maravilloso espectáculo azul. Todo lucía en calma, perfecto para contemplar el paisaje con mis ojos de artista. Me planté en la arena y mis sentidos percibieron el poderío del majestuoso mar.

Me encanta tomar fotografías de la naturaleza y la playa es un escenario precioso para captar las imágenes increíbles. El sol me acompañaba en esta tarea aportando su intensa iluminación cenital, dejándome apreciar el misterioso e interesante Golfo de Cariaco además de las colinas de la otra costa sucrense.

Durante años me he preguntado qué esconde este golfo cuya fosa es inexplorable debido a su profundidad, donde no hay luz ni oxígeno, pero de igual manera es una inagotable reserva de peces. La playa tiene una orilla pedregosa, rocas que han estado allí durante siglos, situación que me lleva a reflexionar sobre la inmortalidad de los elementos. Me agrada cuando el cielo está despejado y las nubes forman figuras, puedo pasar un tiempo tratando de develar esas siluetas, me parece impresionante cómo el ojo humano las puede asociar con objetos, animales, frutas e, incluso personas.

Este ecosistema es rico en elementos naturales, así que además de peces y otras especies marinas se pueden hallar diversos árboles, arbustos y enredaderas que se han adaptado a estas condiciones. La vida siempre consigue formas de abrirse paso de formas sorprendentes, incluso con las condiciones más complejos para subsistir.

La vida en la playa siempre me ha parecido relajante, con ese paisaje hay menos razones para estresarse por asuntos materiales. Respirar aire puro es una excelente manera de agradecer el estar vivos y tener la dicha de apreciar estas vistas maravillosas.
