Good morning, friends. I am glad to be here again. Little Sara needed a pencil case to keep her colors and other school supplies, she was very worried and wanted to solve this situation. Therefore, it occurred to me to make one at home, so that the child would help in its elaboration and would give great value to a product made by both of us than to one bought in any stationery store. Everything that is achieved with effort and dedication is enjoyed, cared for and appreciated much more. That is what my experiences have taught me.

Immediately, we looked for what we needed to carry out such a project. This time, my mother's and grandmother's wise advice about sewing was very useful. They are very experienced and love this practice. I always turn to this popular wisdom to fix my clothes or make any other adjustments.

We wanted to give a flirty touch to the pencil case, so we thought of adding some animal eyes and ears, we chose a fox. Below you can see the materials we used and the procedure.

Procedimiento:

Procedure:

We chose this fabric because its colors are vivid and eye-catching. The girl thought it was pretty and the idea was to be guided by her tastes, because the case would be for her.

The first thing we did was to draw the patterns, the front side would come together from the back. The size of the pencil case was determined by the clasp we got.

The window-shaped pattern is the side of the pencil case. Two of the same pattern should be taken from this pattern.

We placed the pattern on top of the fabric and marked the molds we needed. Sara then cut them out.

On a sheet of paper I marked the eye of the fox, this mold would be used in the right and in reverse to have the two eyes, the material used was white felt. Repeat the procedure to obtain the eyelashes and the nose.

The sewing work was done by hand, as we do not have a machine for this purpose. We did this step little by little so that it would be straight, we placed the side layer and began to join the edge in an esthetic way. Afterwards, we stitched the zipper.

Sara glued the eyes, eyelashes and nose. With the same fabric, we took out two ears and incorporated them into what would become the face.

We made a small pink bow and placed it on her left ear. We added a green rose that had, in turn, a silver one. Thus, we concluded our project. Sara and I burned happy with the result. She immediately went to set up her colors and other work materials. The smile in the final photo says it all. I hope you find this case useful and can make it at home.
