This is how I celebrated today! It wasn't a good day at all, a lot of stress and school work, also 6hours of online college drove me nearly crazy!
After the lectures I was hungry and wanted to eat something sweet, sadly there was nothing in my flavor and I was too tired to cook something!
In the evening I still wanted to eat something sweet so I made something we call Baka'Bana
This dish is made from ripe/over-ripe plantain covered in a batter. This is getting baked in hot oil.
This is how ripe I like by plantains to be when it comes to the dish, Baka'Bana
I first had to wait several days till the plantain became this ripe (no, it is not rotten!)
I had to peel them and cut the in sizes like shown below.
(That little ant also wanted some馃ぃ)
After cutting them I made the batter.
First I put some flour in a bowl, then I added a little bit of salt
After the salt I added sugar, enough sugar. I added 3 table spoons, that works well for me.
And then I added cold milk, just add milk till the mix gets thick. Just when making the pancakes!
The batter is now ready!
Dip the plantain careful in the batter so that the batter won't come off
Bake this in hot oil!
Or you can deep-fry it.
Till it is golden-brown.
I topped the baka'bana with some Pinda sambal
